TRON: Legacy Premier Kick Off-Downtown Disney

With the launch of the movie TRON: Legacy, Downtown Disney wanted to help with the kickoff of the movie by creating a stage to promote the movie.

We were tasked with a week long event featuring the music of Daft Punk (film score), elecTRONica/trance and top 40 hits to get guests in the right mindset for the movie.

We took a page out of the elecTRONica event over at Disney California Adventure which is a club style event on a massive scale and fantastic party to be part of. If you haven't seen elecTRONica, you are missing an amazing mix of music, lighting and video.

We had a motto for our lighting and sound design. "Anything Disney can do, we can do smaller."

The sound and lighting rig made you feel like you were in the movie coupled with new groundbreaking lighting effects and deep bass to complete the experience.

Though the rain slowed us down for the last couple of nights, the guests rocked out to club experience like they had never seen before.

This is what the stage looked like before we TRON'd it

We had the honor of providing all the audio, lighting and video for the 6th Annual Share Our Wine event at Newport Lexus.

Several hundred people came out for this star studded event benefiting Big Brothers and Sisters, Festival of Children Foundation and Orangewood Children's Foundation which are all worthy charities in Orange County

.

There was a combination of silent auction and live auction that was both entertaining and fun.

If you would like to get involved next year or would like to thank the sponsors, please visit Share Our Wine for a complete listing. We have to give special thanks to the Board of Directors who donate so much of their time to make this event a success. To the Board and volunteers: You are the reason this event is a success! TKO Boxing Night for Terminex

"Terminex TKO 2010"

June was a worldwind month for Infinity Lighting and working with Terminex to create their "TKO" Boxing Themed Awards Night was nothing less than amazing. This was one of the bigger events for us for the year and took months of planning and design.

We took over a local universities gym for this "Fight Night" and the guests were treated to an evening of entertainment, food and drink.

Infinity Lighting provided all the lighting, audio, rigging, broadcast camera and special effects for the evening.

(3) days of loading in is what it took to make this event a reality and working hand in hand with the Terminex meeting planners helped us realize their vision of the evening.

This was their final night of their sales conference where all year they had a competition with all of the regions across the US and the top 2 regions were the "fighters" (even though there was no real fight"

All the guest really got into it and had a great time with the characters they created.

There were several surprises before the "winner" was revealed and let me tell you this was worth the wait to see the Presidents come in sumo suits being carried by real sumo wrestlers.

Here are some of the pictures of the event.

CSUF-Public Relations Event

Wednesday we went back to school. It had been some time since we returned to our campus that we called home for so many years. California State University, Fullerton has been good to many of Infinity Lighting designers. In fact, almost 1/4 of the design staff for IL are graduates of the Theater Dance Dept at CSUF.

PRSSA- Public Relations Student Society of America hosted the Casino Royale Mixer at the Titan Student Union.

We provided the lighting and the dance effect lighting for the evening and the students from all walks of life enjoyed the casino tables, food and dancing the night away.

This event (put on entirely by students) matched some of the larger scale events that we have worked on in the past. They were organized and knew exactly what had to be done to make the event happen.

Jay Camarillo was our main contact and a did a fantastic job getting all the decor together. We were excited to be part of the evening.

Iron Man 2 Premier

On Monday we provided media and special effect lighting support for the premier of Iron Man 2 starring Robert Downey Jr. The world premier was slated to be in London but due to a certain volcano, the premier was scraped and brought to Hollywood.

The stars were out that night and this was the first event we did where we got to shut down the street. Though we didn't get to go in to see the movie, it's on my list for next week.

Hyatt Huntington Beach

Working with our recent group at the Hyatt Huntington Beach this week was truly a treat. This sunset beach themed event had the beach as the backdrop and the guests enjoyed the time at the welcome reception. Under the direction of Destination Pros, DMC, we aided in setting the right mood and to complete the California Beach Experience the guests were treated with custom sandals, sunscreen, live entertainment with dance instructors and some of the finest food and drink in Southern California.

Small entertainment vignettes lined the board walk for the guest to peruse. Palm trees, thatched roofs and grass skirts helped create the fun tone of the evening.

A surf simulator added a layer of excitement to those that may have never done the real thing.

This Beach Boys themed surf band added the right tunes to get people dancing to in the mood for their sales conference.

There were also dance instructor duo teaching guests how to do some of the best dances of the last 50 years.

There was even an original “Woody” that guests could pose and take pictures with.

The sunset was lovely and the guests had a great time soaking in the last bit of sun as the evening wined down and the California weather rolled in.

A perfect way to start the sales conference.

We spent the last couple of days at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verde (same location as the wedding from the show “The Bachelor”). We had several events over a couple of days including an evening with the Goo Goo Dolls and one of our favorite Video DJ’s, Roonie G.

The welcome reception was out on the lawn overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean but due to inclimate weather the event was called and we moved indoors (just as the last lighting tree was focused.) We had a little over an hour to set up the room before guests arrived.

The awards evening was filled with energy, kudos and fun. DJ Roonie G was doing what he does best, getting everyone dancing. The clients wanted to transform the room and evening into a high energy club environment and the addition of L.E.D.'s and UV blacklights did just that.

The final night was a surprise guest for the attendees: Goo Goo Dolls, an evening the group will never forget.

It was great to work with the Terranea Resort team and especially Destination Pros;DMC again. True professionals through and through

Beach Theme -San Diego Style

Yesterday was a busy day for the tech team as we headed down to San Diego for an event at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Outdoors in Januaray? Only in Southern California. We provided all the lighting and audio for this beach themed event. Teaming up with The Eventive Group, Theme 2 Scene and Four Quick Clicks created the perfect event.

This welcome reception was a fun challenge since we have worked with the group in years past.Lighting up the stage to help showcase the Hawaiian dancers as the guests learned to do the hula was our primary focus. Since most of the clients were from the Midwest or east coast, the mid 50* San Diego weather was considered warm and they really wanted to create the atmosphere with the stars and night sky.

In order to preserve the "night sky" we did limited area lighting but focused on illuminating the buffets and bars . By the end of the evening the guests were ready to tackle the next morning meeting and convention.
